Moulismes (SE of Poitiers)

 Tuesday 24 January

No sunshine again and still rather chilly, but made good progress again today, coming to Moulismes - another Camping-Car Park.  This one is very large with 53 spaces for motorhomes, a picnic area, a lake and a cafe (shut at this time of year of course!).  Up until it was getting dark there were still 52 spaces available!  But we do have the company of one other now.

Picnic area with lake beyond.

As we left St. Saturnin this morning, we couldn't resist stopping at the Boulangerie.  Afternoon tea on our arrival here was rather special - This probably makes up for John missing his bread pudding at the next PG tea (Angela and Peter will understand!).

So that meant we needed to walk it off, first having a quick sit on the freshly carved chairs close by us.

The walk took us past an ancient laverie and pump
and through some woods.   Shame this old caravan has been abandoned here.  Also saw some fly tipping in a field.

But the fresh air did us good.  Having a shorter journey tomorrow, so hope for a longer walk.

  1. Glad you had a more straightforward journey yesterday! We have also stayed in Le Mans, and Fred reckons made the same error coming off the motorway! A confusing junction. Sorry you haven't found any warm sunshine yet. It is still very cold here but no frost this morning. Craig and Demelza tell us it is very mild in Cornwall! Perhaps we should all be travelling west! Love Carolyn
