Day at Torreblanca and Torrenostra

 Tuesday 7 February

Still rather dull today, but at least no more rain.  However, the rain that we've had was enough to flood the road behind the beach quite close to the campsite.  (Photos later)  This meant that all vehicles needed to turn right out of the site and not left at all.  We decided to take the van out for the day and although the town we were heading for is really quite close, we drove along very narrow lanes on a very roundabout route - fortunately not meeting more than a couple of other vehicles. We parked on the edge of Torreblanca and walked to their market.  Mostly clothing and bags, but some foodie ones, so stocked up on some veg.

We drove to the coastal neighbour, Torrenostra, and after lunch in the van, went for a good walk.  Not sure what these trees are, but they must make a good canopy in the summer.

Interesting contrast of housing from the sublime

to the pretty awful.

And the ancient tower which must be where the name comes from.
The first beach huts we've seen around here.

The sky clearing just a bit during the afternoon.

Enough for us to drink our hot chocolates on the beach wall.  Can't leave off the warm fleeces again just yet.
When we returned to the site, a rather large caravan was being maneuvered onto our next-door pitch!  It just went in ... but only just.
