Lunch at Casa Isabel, Alcossebre
Tuesday 14 February
Had a chat with my Aquafriends on the phone this morning - what a noise they make at coffee time! But great to catch up with them for a few minutes. Our adventure today was to do the walk to Alcossebre again. These white stone figures are all over the campsite but think these two outside the restaurant are quite interesting!
Not posting more pictures of the walk to town - same sandy beaches and blue sky.... but lunch at Casa Isabel is worth a couple.
We chose from the set menu at €16.50. First comes a huge bowl of salad with olive oils and bread. Then starters - no photo but I had paella and John had canelloni. These are the mains - John's is pork and mine Sole. Having had the large starters, I was glad there weren't too many chips.
Repairs of the town's roads going on - but it's rare to actually see anyone working on it!
We walked back across the sand of the first two beaches. Just about big enough for all these people.
Almost home again, the road is open again - all the flooding of last week has disappeared and safe for all the enormous motorhomes to get round now. Just don't drive on that sand! We saw a second one stuck in it again at the end of last week.
