Walk beyond the lighthouse

 Friday 17 February

Just a picture of our restaurant from the beach while we were waiting for the bus to come this morning.

The bus took us to the port just beyond Alcossebre.  This is a zoomed in pic of the lighthouse we can just see in the far distance from our own beach.  We are walking towards and beyond it after we've stopped for our picnic lunch.
A typical road around here - clean and fresh, with white apartments.
From our picnic spot looking back to the town.
Enjoying the sunshine and the sea.
We reached the rather unique lighthouse.
Beyond here, the coast path continues along the edge of the rocks

this bit on a smooth path past a very smart house, but mostly rough and stoney.

A stop for a cup of tea.
Another beautiful house on our way back

past this pretty beach
and the houses and hotels on the hill.
Then back to the bus stop for the return home.  Bus fare pretty cheap €1.55 each.  Still warm enough to sit out on our return to read and do a bit more jigsaw.  A lovely day.

  1. Happy birthday for yesterday John! Glad you are having a lovely time. Sorry to be a bit behind with the blog but have had a busy few days. We travelled down to Cornwall last Friday to spend a few days with the family during Tilly's half term. We fitted in a visit to Lanhydrock, a Sunday lunch with Joy and Nigel and a very blustery walk around Tintagel, before heading home via Bristol on Tuesday where we stopped off to visit my cousin Ollie and his wife. Fantastic weather while we were away, a bit more cloudy since we got home. Lots to do next week with a day in Greenwich helping Nick demolish the kitchen , prior to the building work starting, and our first Lent lunch on Friday, followed by the beetle drive on Saturday. Hope you have a good week. xx
